Family Fun on the Tracks: Exploring Nature with RailCycle

Last weekend, my 8-year-old and I embarked on an adventure with RailCycle, and it’s safe to say it was a day we won’t soon forget! As we pedaled along the old logging rail tracks, the countryside unfolded before us like a beautiful painting come to life. The serene surroundings and gentle breeze made for the perfect backdrop to our outdoor excursion complete with views of nearby Mt. Rainier (on a clear day).

What truly made our RailCycle experience special was the friendly and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived, they were welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our guide not only ensured our safety but, since he also pedaled along in our cart with us, was great to chat with about the area and their future plans (hint: electric assist motors!).

Pedaling back to the starting point, though a gentle uphill, my 8-year-old and I were filled with a sense of accomplishment and joy. RailCycle made for a great outdoor adventure from a perspective you don’t normally experience.
